PRESIDENT FRANCISCO "FRANK" C. CORNEJO, "World Understanding and Peace Through Rotary", RY 1982-1983

On 12 April 1982, then RI President Stanley McCaffrey signed the charter of the Rotary Club of Pasay Silangan. Subsequently, District Governor Oscar Ravanera presented the Club's charter at the Regent of Manila and inducted Charter President Frank Cornejo and his team. PP Nano Sio of the Rotary Club of Pasay, the mother club, presented the gong, the gavel and the flag to the new Club. Thus, the Rotary Club of Pasay Silangan was born with 32 charter members. It was during the first year of the Club's existence that its bulletin aptly called, Ang Sinag first saw light.
