PRESIDENT ILDEFONSO "CHITO" S. DEL ROSARIO, "Create Awareness, Take Action", RY 2000-2001
Leading the club now mostly composed of young Rotarians, President Chito continued the momentum gained from the term of IPP Leo. His board composed mainly of very energetic and enthusiastic young Rotarians, President Chito filled his Rotary days with a lot of projects and activities in the four avenues of service. In response to the District's call for more members, the club garnered a positive net gain on membership believing that these young blood shall ensure the club's future. It did several community service projects in its adopted Barangay, Sto. Niņo, Pasay City, namely Operation Timbang (Weight), Feeding Program, Medical & Dental Mission, Operation Tule (Circumcision), Christmas Gift Giving to 350 families, Corn Distribution, Day Care Field Trip Sponsorship, etc.

The club was able to sign a sisterhood arrangement with the Rotary Club of Anyang Manan, Seoul, Korea and hosted the Group Study Exchange delegate fulfilling several of its international service objectives. It also signed a sisterhood arrangement with the Rotary Club of Bataan, a club established in the Northern Philippines to be able to participate in the latter's environmental program. The club also participated in several District sponsored sports activities such as golf, bowling, badminton, chess, etc. The club continued to establish strong relationship with its Rotary Community Corps and established the Rotaract and Interact Clubs of STI-Makati, a school based rotaract and interact. At the end of the Rotary year, the club received several District recognition for its contribution to the District's goals. With President Chito's almost fourteen years of Rotary experience, and with the help of its young members and partners in service, the club shall continue to propel and help the various communities it is serving. |
