About Us

"Silangan" is the Filipino term for EAST where the SUN rises. It literally means "place of birth". "Ang Sinag" refers to the rays of the sun. Both terms symbolize a new hope and a new beginning. These rays shed light for a brighter tomorrow especially for those who are needy and less fortunate. They provide hope that there are some people who serve above themselves in order to uplift the situation of others and to make this world a better place in which to live.

Rotary is a group of volunteers pooling their TIME, TALENT and TREASURE to serve the so-called helpless in the world. Rotarians are committed to help the millions of individuals in the world to improve their living conditions by eradicating polio, providing livelihood, doing medical and dental missions, sheltering the homeless, and providing aid to those who are victims of disasters, man-made or natural. Rotary also focuses its sights on the environment, making it not just a safe place to live in, but a pleasurable one too.

You are invited to make a difference today. Let the rays of the sun reach those people who feel and think that there is no more light at the end of the tunnel, and be the one to bring back a new beginning. Come and join us to be the rays that would bring them the needed sunlight in their lives.
